LaLa Tacos uses an Instant Quote Calculator to let you build your event around the options you actually want. Once we receive your submitted quote, our team can review the details and prepare a Formal Quote when appropriate. How far in advance should I book my event?

You can book as far in advance as you’d like. Saturdays are our busiest days and often sell out, so we recommend reserving your date as early as possible.

What is the difference between an Instant Quote and a Formal Quote?

An Instant Quote lets you build your event around the menu and service options you want. Once we receive your Instant Quote, our team reviews the details and can prepare a Formal Quote when appropriate.

Neither an Instant Quote nor a Formal Quote is a confirmed order. Your event is only booked when you have a confirmed order with an order number and payment has been submitted.

I just submitted an Instant Quote. Did I actually place an order?

No. The Instant Quote Calculator is a tool that lets you build the menu and service options that work best for your event. Once we receive your Instant Quote, our team will review it and be in touch with the next steps.

What happens after I submit my Instant Quote?

A member of our team will review your Instant Quote and send you the next steps.

Does receiving a quote submission or a Formal Quote mean my catering order is confirmed?

No. A quote submission or Formal Quote is not a confirmed order.

Your event is only booked when you have a confirmed order with an order number and payment has been submitted.

Leaving a voicemail, calling to say you want to book, or saying you want to move forward does not create an order.

Without a confirmed order with an order number and payment submitted, there is no order in place.

If I got an Instant Quote, does that mean my date is being held?

No. An Instant Quote does not reserve your date.

Availability can change as orders are booked. Your date is not secured until you have a confirmed order with an order number and payment submitted.

How do I lock in my date?

After we review your Instant Quote, we’ll contact you with the next steps to place your order.

How much is the deposit?

The required deposit is 25%.

If my order is below your minimum and I pay the minimum, do I get additional food?

Yes. If your order does not reach the minimum, you can apply the difference toward additional food or other menu items. We offer desserts, drinks, sides, and other add-ons, so we recommend using the minimum to build out your order rather than simply paying the difference.

Why isn’t the delivery fee showing on my Instant Quote?

We haven’t calculated the delivery fee for your exact address yet. If you decide to place an order, we’ll confirm the delivery fee before your order is finalized.

Why do you need my exact address to tell me the delivery fee?

We calculate the delivery fee based on the exact distance to your event location, so we need the complete address to give you an accurate amount.

How much would the travel fee be to my city?

Delivery and travel fees vary by location. The best way to get accurate pricing is to build your event in our Instant Quote Calculator at www.quote.lalatacos.com. Once we review your event details, we’ll confirm the applicable fee.

Can I request a revised Formal Quote without starting over?

Yes. Once you receive your Formal Quote, simply reply to that email with the changes you’d like to make. We’ll update the quote and send the revised version back to you.

Will a revised Formal Quote replace the previous version?

Yes. On our end, the revised Formal Quote becomes the current version. However, you can still view any previous Formal Quotes we sent by going back through your email history.

If I book within seven days of my event, when is the full balance due?

If you book within seven days of your event, the full balance is due at the time of booking.

If I book within 48 hours of my event, can LaLa still accept the order?

Possibly. If you already have a Formal Quote and would like to book an event that is only a day or two away, reply to your quote and let us know. We’ll check availability and confirm whether we’re able to accommodate your order.

How do I know whether my event qualifies for a complimentary offer?

Any complimentary offers available for your event will be shown automatically on the final page of our Quote Calculator. You can build your quote at https://quote.lalatacos.com.

Can complimentary offers be combined?

No. Complimentary offers cannot be combined.
