Frequently Asked Questions About Celebration of Life Taco Catering

Can you cater indoors if propane isn’t allowed?

Yes. We have propane-free indoor taco carts that can be used at venues where propane or live cooking is not permitted in the guest area.

Depending on the venue, some food preparation may take place in an approved kitchen or outdoor service area, while the indoor cart is used for serving.

What’s the difference between On-Site, Delivery, and Pickup?

On-Site Catering: Our team comes to your event with the taco cart, prepares and serves the tacos, sets up the taco bar, buffet tables with black linens, chafing equipment, and handles setup and breakdown of our food-service area.

Delivery: We prepare your food, deliver it to your event location, and set up the taco bar. Our team does not stay to serve.

Pickup: We prepare everything for your order and you pick it up from our Temecula location. There is no delivery fee.

Can you provide a staffed buffet instead of a taco cart?

Yes. If you choose staffed buffet-style catering, we set up tables and our employees serve your guests from behind the buffet.

For staffed buffet service, we bring our stainless-steel chafers and upgraded taco-bar serving bowls.

Can you provide tableside taco service?

Yes. Tableside Taco Catering is available for select events. Guests remain seated while our team brings the taco service through the dining area and serves guests at their tables.

For tableside service, the protein selection is served as a set menu to help keep service moving efficiently.

How long do you serve?

Service time depends on what you order. For taco service only, we typically serve for 1 hour for fewer than 50 guests and 1.5 hours for 50 guests or more.

We do not rush your guests. If people are still eating and service is naturally wrapping up, our team will use reasonable judgment rather than abruptly shutting everything down at the exact minute.

Can I add extra service time?

Yes. You can request additional service time from the LaLa Tacos lead at your event.

Additional time is $50 per employee for each additional 30 minutes.

Please do not offer cash directly to our employees unless LaLa Tacos management has specifically authorized them to accept payment for the additional time.

Can I reduce my guest count after booking?

Yes. You may reduce your guest count up to 7 days before your event.

Can I add guests after booking?

Yes. You may add guests up to 5 days before your event, subject to availability.

Can appetizers be set out before the main meal?

Yes. We can serve appetizers before taco service and coordinate the timing with you or your event coordinator.

Can you cater at a church or other place of worship?

Yes. We can cater at churches and other places of worship.

As with any venue, please confirm any setup, access, and propane restrictions in advance so we can plan the appropriate catering setup.

Can you cater inside a community room or clubhouse?

Yes. We cater at clubhouses and community rooms regularly.

When possible, we typically set up the taco cart outside and serve from there. Please confirm in advance that the property allows propane equipment in the proposed setup area.

If a taco cart cannot be used because of property restrictions, we can often bring the food and set up a staffed taco bar or buffet-style service instead.

Do you provide bussers to clear guests’ tables?

Yes. Bussing service can be requested for an additional charge.
